The End Is Nigh With The First ‘Good Omens’ Teaser

2 min read

In production since 2017 when the casting was revealed, the first teaser has now landed for the Amazone Prime adaptation of Good Omen from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It’s a very fun one that sets the stage well with the basics, a look toward history and what it will offer with sequences there, and the humor coming from it. Naturally, bringing novel characters to life means a take likely different than the one that was read in our mind but there’s a lot to likehere.

The series has Neil Gaiman on board writing it as well as producing with Caroline Skinner (Doctor Who) and Chris Sussman (Fleabag) for BBC Studios; Rob Wilkins (Choosing to Die) and Rod Brown (Going Postal) for Narrativia.

Sheen will play Aziraphale, an angel who works for God, and Tennant will play Crowley, a demon who works on behalf of the darkness.

Plot Concept: Good Omens takes place in 2018 when the Apocalypse is near and Final Judgment is set to descend upon humanity. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, and tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan — except a somewhat fussy angel, and a fast-living demon are not looking forward to the coming war, and someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.
