There’s a bit of fun coming up in the Kaiji world through the Mr. Tonegawa property as the series is getting “hijacked” with its October 9th, 2018 epiosde where the manga spinoff 1-nichi Gaishutsuroku Hanchō is getting an anime adaptation. It’ll have the same staff as the Tonegawa series with Keiichiro Kawaguchi directing it with the script by Mitsutaka Hirota and character designs by Haruhito Takada.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Chō as Ōtsuki
  • Takuya Satō as Numagawa
  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Ishikazu
  • Toshiki Masuda as Miyamoto
  • Tomoaki Maeno as Odagiri
  • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Yukio Tonegawa
  • Jay Kabira as Narrator

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: The property is set in Tokyo where Ōtsuki uses a “One-Day Outing Ticket” to leave the forced labor camp for people who have gambling debts.
