The focus shifted to Mashiro the last time around and it was an amusing intro as she got familiar with us, even while calling us Mr. Pervert. Mashiro was a welcome addition by not being another high school student, though she’s terribly young. She’s going through the interview process to find a job and that has her practicing her interview skills, which are poor, with us in her place where she feels very comfortable. She’s cutely doing her best but I’ll admit that just having a character in a business outfit and dealing with things as an adult really does help to give it a different feeling and flavor.
In Summary:
Of course, the episode gives us our expected level of intimate fanservice as Mashiro spends some of her time cooking, which gives us quite the view, and she does some stretching and the like as well to relax. There’s a growing ease in how she talks to us about things and about herself that’s welcome and you get something that works better than it should. I’m fully aware of the shows many faults but I keep wishing we’d get more shows using this as a starting point than high school days.
