The spring 2018 anime season series Fist of the Blue Sky: Regenesis recently got a premiere date of October 1st, 2018 for the second half of it – at least on Amazon Video as the broadcast will come a week later – and now a new piece has been released. The official site updated with a new promo for that clocks in at just over 90 seconds and showcases some of the new opening theme song material for it.

With Crunchyroll having streamed the first season of it, it’s pretty much a given that it’ll return for the second season there as well. Availability for it is decent as it’s open to viewers in North America, UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, Russia, Central America, and South America including the Caribbean.

Yoshio Shikazumi is directing it based on the series composition and scripts by Satoshi Ozaki. Kazuma Teshigahara and Hiromi Satou are handling the character designs and Polygon Pictures is handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Kouichi Yamadera as Kenshiro, Takehito Koyasu as Liú Fēi-Yàn,  Sumire Uesaka as Erika Arendt,  Setsuji Satoh as Yasaka,  Yumi Touma as Pān Yù-Líng, Nobuyuki Hiyama as Yè, and Akeno Watanabe as Yè Zi-Yīng.

The manga comes from Buronson, Nobuhiko Horie, and Testuo Hara that kicked off back in 2001 and has twenty-two volumes to date. A new manga in the franchise is coming at the same time with Fist of the Blue Sky: Genesis that comes from Hiroyuki Yatsu and Hideki Tsuji with Buronson and Hara getting credited for it as well.

A two-cour anime series was adapted back in 2006.
