The third season of Daredevil has been in the works for a bit but the focus for awhile has been on the debut of The Punisher and the second season of Luke Cage along with the new release of Iron Fist with its second season. With that in mind, Netflix has released a quick tease of what’s to come for Daredevil that makes it all the clearer that we’re angling for some variant on the Born Again run of the comics that could make this already dark show a whole lot darker. We don’t have a date for it but it was teased for being a late 2018 debut previously.
The show stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Rosario Dawson. The second season also had Jon Bernthal and Elodie Yung.
Plot concept: Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
