The mobile app game Hoshi no Shima no Nyanko, known as Kittens of the Island of Stars, is set to get a 3DCG anime adaptation as part of the fall 2018 season in October. The show is planned for a 15-minute running time for each episode. Tomomi Maruyama is directing it based on the series composition by Mariko Kunisawa. Animation Planet is behind the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Ayumi Fujimura as Hopi, Tomoko Ikeda as Toto, Mari Hino as Mao, and Daisuke Sakaguchi as Kotetsu.

Plot Concept: The story centers on the cats Hopi, Toto, and Mao, who set out on the ocean in search of a place to establish a new town. The three friends plan to find the mysterious “Island of Stars.” When they happen to chance upon it, they immediately get to work developing the island, but encounter many difficulties in their task.
