A new project has been set for sometime in 2019 with the anime adaptation of the Dōkyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue manga. The property translates as My Housemate Is on My Lap, But Sometimes on My Head and comes from Minatsuki and As Futatsuya as appearing on the Comic Polaris web manga site. The series has Kaoru Suzuki directing it based on the series composition from Deko Akao. Masaru Kitao is handling the character designs with Zero-G working on the animation production.
The manga began in 2015 as an ongoing and has four compiled volumes in print form so far.
Plot Concept: The story deals with socially awkward novelist Subaru Mikazuki, who adopts a stray cat. He names it Haru, and they begin their life together. As with the manga, each episode of the anime will have both a “Subaru” and “Haru” chapter that will tackle the story from the point of view of both characters.
