The spring 2018 anime series Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori is getting its home video releases in Japan handled by Kadokawa and they’ve set a non-standard release. With the first release coming up in a couple of weeks we now have a look at the DVD side of it which is similar to what the Blu-ray sets are like but not entirely. The twelve episode series is getting a two-volume box set release while there will also be four DVDs for release as well. The Blu-ray box sets are priced at 18,000 yen each while the DVDs are priced at 7,000 yen each. We’ll be tracking information on the box sets and likely include the DVD cover artwork as well.
Tomomi Kamiya directed the series while the series composition is by Deko Akao. Kei Ajiki worked on the character designs while Noriko Itou handled the cuisine design. Zexcs managed the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Junichi Suwabe as Kyousui Tougoku, Yuuichi Nakamura as Tokitaka Nagae, Daisuke Ono as Gregorio Valentino, Daiki Yamashita as Tsubaki Nakao, Tomoaki Maeno as Yakyō Higashigo, Kousuke Toriumi as Eisuke Kadosaki, and Kōhei Amasaki as Kinako.
The series comes from manga creator Yuu Shimizu that began back in the fall of 2013 and has seven volumes out.

Plot Concept: Our story takes place in Japanese Style Tea House “Rokuhoudou” which is quite popular due to the great efforts of Sui (shop manager in charge of tea), Gre (in charge of Latte Art), Tsubaki (in charge of desserts) and Tokitaka (in charge of the food). Not only do the excel in hospitality for their customers, but they also help out with their worries from time to time. A series of endearing stories that take place in this heartful restaurant. Who will be their customers today?
