What They Say:
The childhood friends Akkun and Nontan are boyfriend and girlfriend. But Akkun is always saying ridiculously harsh things to Nontan as well as being cold with her and is frequently moody. But that’s just how Akkun expresses his love for Nontan. This is a high school love comedy about Akkun and Nontan, who doesn’t seem to care at all about how Akkun acts toward her.

The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
It’s still kind of surprising that this show got two seasons to it as most shorts rarely make it past one and it isn’t one that feels like it would be one. This episode keeps things moving right along but places us into the Halloween season, which is potentially frightening. Akkun is doing his best to prepare for the holiday because the idea of Nontan cosplaying is more than enough to push him over the edge, which means she’s going to go the complete opposite of ultra sexy with a ghost in a sheet. He does take care of her well with what he gives her but there’s some comical tension when she flicks him at one point thinking he’d avoid it. He’s got a twisted sense of what he wants from her but the two are on such the same wavelength that it works.

In Summary:
While we do get a little time with some of the other characters here in that totally awkward student/teacher relationship, the main focus on Akkun and Nontan works nicely to keep of fun and silly. Akkun’s view of the costume that she’d wear in his mind’s eye is perfect and it’s pretty much what most were hoping for anyway. Her actual costume is spot on though and that he’s still delighted by it internally is just perfect.
