‘Feel the Wind’ Anime Adaptation Gets First Promo

With Shion Miura’s other work with The Great Passage having previously gotten an anime adaptation, NTV recently revealed that the 2006 novel Feel the Wind is in production. The show is scheduled for an October debut as a part of the fall 2018 anime lineup and now the first promotional video for it has arrived. The adaptation has Kazuya Nomura directing it with Kohei Kiyasu set for the scripts for it. Takahiro Chiba is working on the character designs and Production I.G. Shinchosha is involved with the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Takeo Otsuka as Kakeru Kurahara, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Haiji Kiyose, Kōki Uchiyama as Takashi Sugiyama, Miyu Irino as Akane Kashiwazaki, Junya Enoki as Jirou Jyou, Yūto Uemura as Tarou Jyou, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Yukihiko Iwakura, Hideaki Kabumoto as Musa Kamala, Riki Kitazawa as Youhei Sakaguchi, and Takanori Hoshino as Akihiro Hirata.

The novel was previously adapted into a live-action film in 2009 and a six-volume manga series was produced by Sorata Unno from 2007 to 2009.

Plot Concept: Tokyo-Hakone Round-Trip College Ekiden Race or “Hakone Ekiden,” one of the biggest university marathon relay races in Japan. The race is held every year on January 2-3 and goes between Tokyo and Hakone and back, for a total run of nearly 217.9 km.
