‘Chio’s School Commute’ Anime Cast Expands With Premiere Scheduled

The anime adaptation of manga creator Tadataka Kawasaki work Chio’s School Commute got delayed earlier this year from the spring season to the summer season for 2018 and now some new details have arrived. The latest comes in the form of three cast additions as well as a July 6th, 2018 premiere scheduled for it. The series is being directed by Takayuki Inagaki with Mayuko Matsumoto handling the character designs with Diomedea working the animation production.

The newly added cast includes:

  • Rikiya Koyama as Mayuta Ando
  • Hiroki Takahashi as Goto-sensei
  • Minori Suzuki as Momo Shinozuka

The Japanese cast now includes:

  • Naomi Ōzora as Chio Miyamo
  • Chiaki Omigawa as Manana Nonomura
  • Kaede Hondo as Yuki Hosokawa
  • Yō Taichi as Madoka Kushitori

The series began in 2014 and has seven volumes published so far.

Plot Concept: The story follows female high school student Chio Miyamo, and her adventures to commute to school every day. Chio runs into problems both big and small, such as construction, a biker gang, a sudden urge to use the bathroom, and more.
