Batwoman & Gotham Coming To The CW Crossover Event This Fall

2 min read

FINALLY.

The fall event on The CW that has built well in the last couple of years with the crossover storyline between SupergirlLegends of TomorrowArrow, and The Flash definitely catches a lot of attention for the network. This past year saw a fun invasion of the main timeline by Nazi’s from Earth X that was, as many said, a lot better than the DC movies in capturing the characters, energy, and craziness that can come from these properties.

With the new lineup revealed for the fall with Supergirl moving to Sunday, Legends and Arrow on Monday, and Flash on Tuesday (with the unconnected Black Lightning after that), they talked about what this fall will introduce for a crossover and it’s a doozy.

Network president Mark Pedowitz confirmed that Batwoman will be appearing in the event and that Gotham is also being formally introduced visually into the series – something that they hopefully can expand on as the unconnected Fox series Gotham is coming up on its final season this fall. The potential expansion after that’s over with something like Arrow possibly coming to a close would open up a whole new world.

“We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character, Pedowitz said. For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”

The character originally showed up in 1956 in Detective Comics #233 and has had a lot of animated appearances over the years, as well as her own ongoing series and a really great interpretation that kicked off the Bombshells digital-first comic series.
