‘Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation’ Anime Premiere Scheduled

The first of two parts with the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: Reflection anime feature film landed last summer in Japan and things are moving forward well with the second part, which has the subtitle of Detonation. With a trailer released earlier this year, we now have a premiere date for this half of the film series as it’s set for October 19th, 2018 in Japan. The two-film project is being directed by Takayuki Haman with Kana Hashidate on board for character designs. It’s being animated at Seven Arcs with Shochiku distributing it.

The Japanese cast includes Haruka Tomatsu as Amitie Florian, Satomi Sato as Kirie Florian, Yukari Tamura as Nanoha Takamachi, Nana Mizuki as Fate T. Harlaown, Kana Ueda as Hayate Yagami, Kana Ueda as Dearche, Yukari Tamura as Shtel, Nana Mizuki as Leby, Kana Asumi as Yuri, Aya Hisakawa as Lindy Harlaown, Natsuko Kuwatani as Alph, Mikako Takahashi as Chrono, Yuki Matsuoka as Amy Limiette, Kaori Mizuhashi as Yūno Scrya, Donna Burke as Raising Heart, Kevin J England as Valdish, Tetsuya Kakihara as Laevatein, Graf Eisen.

Plot Concept: A pair of researchers stay behind on their dying planet of Eltria with their two daughters, Amitie and Kirie, in hopes of finding a way to revive the planet. But when the husband Granz falls ill it seems their dream of reviving the planet will die. Against her older sister’s wishes, Kirie sets off with her childhood friend Iris to seek help from a distant alternate world. They arrive in Japan on Earth to search for the key to their planet’s regeneration. There, they meet Nanoha Takamachi, Fate T. Harlaown, and Hayate Yagami.
