With pre-production underway, it’s been revealed ahead of plans to shop it at Cannes that A Patriot has revealed some of its cast. Directed by Toby Rushton and co-written with Dan Pringle, the film will star Eva Green, Kathy Bates, and Ed Skrein. Not the kind of cast combination that you’d expect from what’s being labeled as a science fiction thriller. Check out the concept for it that’s being used to shop it around.
Plot Concept: The film takes place in a future authoritarian state that has walled itself away from a world ravaged by climate chaos and resource wars. The story follows the unquestioning Border Corp Captain Kate Jones (Green) as she fights to defend the purity of the population until a chance discovery makes her doubt the authorities she has pledge her allegiance and life to protect.
