Originally running from 2004 to 2008 for eighteen volumes, Yoshiyuki Nishi’s Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation got the nod for a revival in manga form and an anime adaptation is on the way as well. A good number of details have now arrived through the latest Weekly Shonen Jump as we’ve learned that Nobuhiro Kondo is directing it based on the series composition and scripts by Yasuyuki Suzuki. Kouichiro Kawano is handling the character designs with Studio DEEN producing the animation for it.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Ayumu Murase as Tōru Muhyō
- Yuu Hayashi as Jirō “Roji” Kusano
- Tetsuya Kakihara as Yōichi Himukai
- Hiroshi Kamiya as Soratsugu Madoka
Viz Media licensed and released the first manga series in North America. Check out the previously released teaser trailer below.
Plot Concept: Are you a victim of unwanted spirit possession? Is there a ghost you need sent up and away…or down to burn for all eternity? If the answer is yes, then you need Muhyo and Roji, experts in magic law. Serving justice to evil spirits is their specialty.
