2 min read

Announced way, way, back in 2016 as the manga itself was ending, the live-action adaptation of Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga is ever closer. With it being planned for a summer debut from Warner Bros. Japan that’s set for a July 20th, 2018 release in Japan, some new promotion has arrived for it. This trailer brings some additional details for the more music-focused fan as it reveals that [ALEXANDROS] is handling the theme song with “Mosquito Bite.”

Directed by Shinsuke Sato, the cast includes Sōta Fukushi as protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki, Hana Sugisaki as Rukia Kuchiki, Ryō Yoshizawa as Uryū Ishida, Taichi Saotome as Renji Abarai, and MIYAVI as Byakuya Kuchiki.

The manga began in 2001 and ran for seventy-four volumes, had a couple of anime feature films, and a 366 episode TV anime adaptation.

Property Concept: For as long as he can remember, Ichigo Kurosaki has been able to see ghosts. But when he meets Rukia, a Soul Reaper who battles evil spirits known as Hollows, his life is changed forever. Now, with a newfound wealth of spiritual energy, Ichigo discovers his true calling — to protect the world of the living and the dead as a Substitute Soul Reaper. When Rukia is taken away to face the ruthless justice of the Soul Society, Ichigo and his friends must cross over and do battle in the spirit world…
