To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Youkai Ningen Bem property, a new short-form anime arrived last fall with Oretacha Yokai Ningen. That’s now getting another series that’s set to debut on April 4th, 2018 with Oretacha Yokai Ningen G. The show is being paired with a rebroadcast of the 2006 series which is what most of the promo below delves into before showing the new one at the end. Originally a twenty-six episode back in 1968 that had a 2006 adaptation and some live-action material, the new short is directed by Jou Adachi and comes from DLE.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Tomokazu Sugita as Bem
- Kana Kurashina as Bera
- Kenta Suga as Bero
Property Concept: Three monsters, Bem, who looks like a gangster, Bero, who looks like a boy, and Bera, a witch, act as agents of justice, hoping that they will be allowed to become human. Several episodes involve them protecting a young boy. The style of animation is fairly distinctive, and the storylines not without interest.
