‘Love is Hard for an Otaku’ Anime Premiere Scheduled

We got the formal nod at the end of July 2017 that the manga Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, aka Love is Hard for an Otaku, is getting an anime adaptation that’s coming up soon. The official site has now dropped a new commercial spot and has updated to reveal an April 12th, 2018 premiere for it. The series is directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike based on the series composition that he put together. Takahiro Yasuda is handling the character design with A-1 Pictures handling the animation.

The cast from the web promos for the manga will be reprising their roles for the show with:

  • Arisa Date as Narumi Momose
  • Kento Itou as Hirotaka Nifuji
  • Miyuki Sawashiro as Hanako Koyanagi
  • Tomokazu Sugita as Tarou Kabakura
  • Yuki Kaji as Naoya Nifuji

The manga comes from Fujita that began in 2014.

The opening theme song is “Fiction” as performed by sumika.
