Back in the fall of 2017 we get word that the Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori manga was going to get an anime adaptation in 2018 and details continue to reveal themselves. Scheduled for the spring 2018 season in April, the official site has now updated with who is handling some of the music for it as aki has been confirmed as performing the opening theme song “Sakurairo Cliche.” The song is naturally set for a quick CD release that lands on May 2nd, 2018.
Tomomi Kamiya is the director working from the series composition by Deko Akao. Kei Ajiki is handling the character designs while Noriko Itou will handle the cuisine design. Zexcs is handling the animation production.
The previously announced Japanese cast includes:
- Junichi Suwabe as Kyousui Tougoku
- Yuuichi Nakamura as Tokitaka Nagae
- Daisuke Ono as Gregorio Valentino
- Daiki Yamashita as Tsubaki Nakao
- Tomoaki Maeno as Yakyō Higashigo
- Kousuke Toriumi as Eisuke Kadosaki
- Kōhei Amasaki as Kinako
The series comes from manga creator Yuu Shimizu that began back in the fall of 2013 and has six volumes out with the seventh out back in November.
Plot Concept: Four men—Gure, Sui, Tokitaka, and Tsubaki—each help run a Japanese tea shop together called Rokuhoudou. When one visits the shop, they are greeted warmly, is served with tea, and are often helped with any problems they may have.
