With a trilogy out previously from Warner Bros. that focused on George Clooney’s character of Danny Ocean, the studio has the first trailer out for what comes next with Ocean’s 8 as it focuses on his sister and a heist she’s getting ready to pull. Set for a June 8th, 2018 bow, it’s written by Gary Ross and Olivia Milch with Gary Ross directing. To try and get it in front of as many eyes as possible with so many films opening in the next week the first trailer has landed.
The cast includes Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, Cate Blanchett as Lou, Helena Bonham Carter as Rose, Anne Hathaway as Daphne Kluger, Rihanna as Nine Ball
Mindy Kaling as Amita, Sarah Paulson as Tammy, Awkwafina as Constance, Damian Lewis, Richard Armitage as Claude Becker, and James Corden.
Plot Concept: Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou, Rose, Daphne Kluger, Nine Ball, Tammy, Amita, and Constance.
