A co-production for English and Chinese markets with an international flair to it has been worked on for the last couple of years between Left Bank Pictures and CiTVC and it’s now coming to fruition with Sony Pictures TV and Midnight Radio with Origin. According to Deadline, The project has gotten a YouTube Red pickup as an original series with a planned ten episode run to debut sometime in 2018. It’s being written by creator and executive producer Mika Watkins.

Plot Concept: Origin finds a group of strangers stranded on a spacecraft bound for a distant planet. The abandoned passengers must work together for survival, but quickly realize that one of them is far from who they claim to be.
