Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
This gag manga follows Sasuke’s story from the time he is with Suigetsu, Karin and Jugo and his quest for Itachi. Each skit is a couple of pages and generously makes fun of all of Sasuke’s flaws. There is particular attention paid to his sensitivity about being an Uchiha. It also pokes fun at his strength compared to others. What makes this gag manga is the delivery. First, everyone is in chibi form, so nothing at all can be serious. Second, feats of strength are displayed with pillow fights. There are also little skits at the end of the manga with Sasuke in the modern world. One such skit is that Sasuke wants to go to an anime convention.

All the favorites are in the story from Naruto to Orochimaru, including hilarious scenes of Sakura making a fool of herself about Sasuke. Keep in mind the story only lightly follows the regular storyline plot, because I’m pretty sure that Sasuke having a wardrobe malfunction and wearing a santa hat was never in the original manga.

In Summary
“The cool genius who is Naruto’s rival…This series is a gag manga about that Sasuke! Please enjoy a new version of Sasuke acting like an idiot” – Kenji Taira

This opening quote from the creator is exactly what this manga is all about. It would take away all the fun if I told what each little skit is about, so if you are a Naruto fan in general, you’ll have a good time watching beloved characters act like idiots. You’ll love it even more if Sasuke rubs you the wrong way and you’re just looking for an excuse to have fun at his expense.

If you don’t like Naruto, don’t bother with this book. If you don’t like gag style mangas, don’t bother with this book. This book really appeals to a niche group of fans, but that niche group is going to love it.
