‘Hunter X Hunter’ Manga Set With Another Hiatus

1 min read

Hunter X Hunter Volume 33 HeaderThe struggle to bring out the Hunter x Hunter manga series from creator Yoshihiro Togashi is real as he deals with some very crippling pain and chronic issues that has more regularly brought the series to a halt over the last few years. The compiled volumes that do come out still do huge numbers which is why there’s a real effort to keep it going from all involved. It looks like the series, which returned this past June, is set for another hiatus that Togashi is hoping will be back before the end of the year.

Viz Media has been releasing the series in North America and they caught up in the spring of 2017. They’re also in the process of releasing the anime TV series adaptation.

Plot Concept: Hunters are a special breed, dedicated to tracking down treasures, magical beasts, and even other men. But such pursuits require a license, and less than one in a hundred thousand can pass the grueling qualification exam. Those who do pass gain access to restricted areas, amazing stores of information, and the right to call themselves Hunters.
