2 min read

Dragon Ball Super Header 7-29The first collection of Dragon Ball Super arrived recently from Funimation as the DVD/BD combo set landed on July 25th, 2017. To help people get back into the mood of it all, and to give them a taste of the dub, a fun new clip has been released as our characters get into the growling and yelling that’s required – and eventually hell for a voice actor! The set contains the first thirteen episodes of the series in bilingual form with twenty-five minutes in extras. Those include the familiar opening and closing sequences but also some video interviews with Sonny Strait & Savannah Ligaluppi as well as Christopher R. Sabat & Hero D. Sabat

Toei Animation is animating the series that comes from a story concept from Akira Toriyama. The debut of the series marks the first new series for the property in eighteen years. The show is being broadcast in Asia, Germany, and elsewhere through various agreements set up.

The cast includes Masako Nozawa as Son Goku, Son Gohan and Son Goten, Ryo Horikawa as Vegeta, Hiromi Tsuru as Bulma, Takeshi Kusao as Trunks, Mayumi Tanaka as Krillin, Masaharu Satou as Kame-Sen’nin, Toshio Furukawa as Piccolo, Naoko Watanabe as Chi-Chi, Yuko Minaguchi as Videl, Unshou Ishizuka as Mr. Satan, Kôzô Shioya as Majin Buu, Kouichi Yamadera as God of Destruction Beerus and Masakazu Morita as Whis.

Plot Concept: With Majin Buu defeated, Goku has taken a completely new role as a…radish farmer?! With Earth at peace, our heroes have settled into normal lives. But they can’t get too comfortable. Far away, a powerful god awakens to a prophecy revealing his demise at the hands of a formidable being. When his search for the Saiyan God brings him to Earth, can Goku and his friends take on their strongest foe yet?
