Black Panther Logo HeaderThe Marvel Studios film Black Panther went through a lot of intriguing and exciting cast reveals previously as filming got underway at the start of 2017 and the payoff has now hit with our first teaser trailer. This one is aimed more at the fans than a general audiences “first” trailer that we’ll be getting later but it’s the kind of work that provides connections as it digs back to Age of Ultron and Civil War with the supporting characters at the forefront before digging into the reveals of what the advanced society of Wakanda is like, which is a “radical” departure for the Earth based MCU material so far.

Written by Joe Robert Cole and Ryan Coogler with Coogler directing, the film arrives on February 16th, 2018. The cast includes Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaw, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Forest Whitaker as Zuri,  Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Letita Wright, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Born, and John Kani.

Plot concept: Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
