Seven Seas Acquires ‘Giant Spider & Me: A Post-Apocalyptic Tale’ Manga

Giant Spider & Me CoverSeven Seas Entertainment has picked up a manga series that some will love and some will be creeped out by with Giant Spider & Me: A Post-Apocalyptic Tale by Kikori Morino, Originally known as Owari Nochi, Asanagi Gurashi, the series kicked off in X and just had its first volume released in March of this year.

“Fans of The Ancient Magus’ Bride and The Girl From the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún will especially love this series, since it ran in the same magazine,” says Seven Seas Production Manager Lissa Pattillo. “It’s a really creative take on the slice of life genre, complete with a charming arachnid lead!”

Seven Seas will bring the series in print for the first time in North America as single volume editions with the scheduled for February 20, 2018 for $12.99 USA / $14.99 CAN.

Plot concept: A young girl named Nagi and a giant spider make an unusual pair in this post-apocalyptic story, but living in the mountains is lonely, and they’ve managed to find each other. Join them in their strangely sweet domestic bliss as they spend their days sharing tea and throwing picnics, proving that love (and delicious food) can bring together even the most unlikely of friends.
