The critically acclaimed anime series March comes in like a lion, which has a second series coming later this year, was revealed to be getting a dub produced for it today at Anime Central. The Bang Zoom! Entertainment panel revealed that they would be producing it and were hosting open auditions this weekend at the convention. Details about the dub and plans by Aniplex USA for releasing it will be coming in the future.

The series had Akiyuki Shinbou directing it at Shaft with Nobuhiro Sugiyama as the character designer, Yasuhiro Nakura working on the art setting with Seiki Tamura as art director while Toshiki Kameyama worked on sound direction. Yukari Hashimoto is handling the music for the series.
The Japanese cast includes Nobuhiko Okamoto as Harunobu Nikaido, Kengo Kawanishi as Rei Kiriyama, Ai Kayano as Akari Kawamoto, Kana Hanazawa as Hinata Kawamoto and Misaki Kuno as Momo Kawamoto.
The opening theme song will be performed by BUMP OF CHICKEN and they’ll also be providing the ending theme song with the “Fighter” piece that they collaborated with on previously.
The original manga series from Chika Umino began back in 2007 and has won several awards over the years.
Plot concept: The protagonist is Rei, a 17-year-old shogi player. He lives by himself, does not have a family, does not go to school, and has scarcely any friends. Among his acquaintances is a family, which consists of a young woman, Akari, and two young girls, Momo and Hinata, and who also keep a numerous number of cats.
