With two TV series and a compilation movie for the first season, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is coming back for more. A new feature film has been announced with the subtitle Take On Me that will arrive on January 6th, 2018. Kyoto Animation will be bringing back the main staff and cast for it and have revealed that it’s a new story not based on the three novels that have come out so far. The first key visual has also arrived along with a brief but fun teaser trailer for it.
Sentai Filmworks has picked up and released the two seasons of the TV series previously.
The TV series was directed by Tatsuya Ishihara based n the series composition by Jukki Hanada. Kazumi Ikeda handled the character designs and served as the chief animation director for it.
The Japanese cast includes Jun Fukuyama as Yūta Togashi, Maaya Uchida as Rikka Takanashi, Azumi Asakura as Kumin Tsuyuri, Chinatsu Akasaki as Shinka Nibutani, Eri Sendai as Toka Takanashi, Kaori Fukuhara as Kuzuha Togashi, Kikuko Inoue as Nanase Tsukumo, Mami Shitara as Yumeha Togashi, Souichiro Hoshi as Makoto Isshiki and Sumire Uesaka as Sanae Dekomori.
The English cast includes Leraldo Anzaldua as Yuta Togashi, Margaret McDonald as Rikka Takanashi, Ashley Miller as Yumeha Togashi, Brittney Karbowski as Sanae Dekomori, Carli Mosier as Nanase Tsukumo, Emily Neves as Kumin Tsuyuri, Genevieve Simmons as Toka Takanashi, Greg Ayres as Makoto Isshiki, Maggie Flecknoe as Shinka Nibutani and Monica Rial as Kuzuha Togashi.
Plot concept: The new story where Yuuta and Rikka on their third year of the high school. One day in Spring, Touka said her job is stabled and wanting to take Rokka with her to Italy. Touka is also worried about Rikka’s level not being able to pass to advance to universities in Japan. The gangs from the club suggested Yuuta to elope with Rikka!! A runaway drama around Japan begins.
