Content: (warning, content section may contain spoilers)
Elektra seems to have caught some unwanted attention while trying to lie low.  After saving a bar girl named Lauren from the girl’s gangster boyfriend,  Elektra decides maybe it’s time to skip town, leave Lauren to fend for herself.  She doesn’t get very far before a trio of men arrives in her lodging and attack.  this Court turns out to be robots, and her unknown enemy is observing her through them.  Just outside of Vegas, more of Elektra’s unknown enemies are continuing to play their hands.  Soon enough, she comes face to face with the big boss, Arcade.  Arcade seems to get the better of her and she’s transported to Murderworld, where a bunch of missing Vegas acts are held too.  Our issue ends as the game starts.

In Summary:
Arcade, Arcade, Arcade.  Here’s a villain I’ve not seen in a long time.  What’s he doing here and what does he want with Elektra?  Her efforts to lie low seem to have failed spectacularly, and now she’s got to get out of Murderworld and teach Arcade a lesson.  There was plenty of action this issue between Elektra fighting the robots and making her way to confront Arcade.  The art is done well and everything from characters to the locations are easily observable.  Characters are believable and dialogue flows well.

The tone is rather up in the air really.  One could say grim because Elektra was captured and sent to Murderworld, but she knows how to handle herself really.  The real question is, when and how will she get out of Muderworld, and will Arcade still be there to greet her?  This is a great second issue with a villain I never even saw coming until it was spelled out, so I can’t wait to see where it goes next!  I recommend it as one of the few Marvel books with a strong female lead and as one of Marvel’s few good books!
