Four-Episode ‘ReLIFE’ Anime Arc Announced

ReLIFE 4Set to follow-up from the anime TV series, a four-episode OVA arc has been announced for ReLife. The episodes are set to hit on DVD and Blu-ray in March 2018 with details about them to come in the near future. The original series was streamed by Crunchyroll last summer with Funimation producing a dub for it while a live-action film arrived in Japan earlier this month.

Animated at TMS Entertainment, Tomo Kosaka directed the TV series based on the scripts from Kazuho Hyodo and Michiko Yokote. Character designs were done by Junko Yamanaka, whose other recent adaptations are featured in Servamp.

The Japanese cast includes Kensho Ono as Arata Kaizaki, Ai Kayano as Chizuru Hishiro, Ryohei Kimura as Ryō Yoake, Haruka Tomatsu as Rena Kariu, Yūma Uchida as Kazuomi Ōga, Reina Ueda as An Onoya, Himika Akaneya as Honoka Tamarai, Daisuke Namikawa as Nobunaga Asaji, and Noriaki Sugiyama as Akira Inukai.

Plot concept: Arata Kaizaki (27) quit the job he landed after graduation in only three months. His life did not go well after that. Now his parents are threatening to stop sending money, and want him to come back to the country. He has no friend or girlfriend to share his troubles with…as he hits rock bottom a strange man named Ryo Yoake appears. Yoake invites Kaizaki to join a societal rehabilitation program for NEETs called ReLife. This program uses a mysterious drug to make him look younger, and sends him back to high school for a year…
