Well, this one is going to be a curious one to watch and see how it unfolds. Kaze France is apparently going to be bringing out the Macross series under the name Robotech going by the translation on this report. The show is going to be brought out in multiple Blu-ray sets priced at 50 euro each and DVD box sets at 40 euro each. Each format will be done across three releases with Japanese and French language with French subtitles. No English language is being included due to the way the edits were done originally.
Series premise: In 1999, an alien ship crashes on South Atalia Island and makes the human race aware of other life in space. Ten years later, the ship is reconstructed and christened as the SDF-1 Macross. However, on the day of its maiden voyage, an alien race called the Zentraedi make their appearance on Earth, beginning the UN Spacy/Zentraedi war that would change the history of both races forever.
