‘Ghost in the Shell: Arise’ Anime Returns to Netflix

Ghost in the Shell Arise HeaderWith the new live-action Ghost in the Shell film landing in just a few weeks it makes sense to try and garner some extra eyeballs on the anime side. Netflix is now doing just that as they have the first three episodes of Ghost in the Shell: Arise now streaming on the service.

The main Japanese cast include sKenichirou Matsuda as Batou, Maaya Sakamoto as Motoko Kusanagi and Tarusuke Shingaki as Togusa while the English main cast includes Christopher R. Sabat as Batou, Elizabeth Maxwell as Motoko Kusanagi and Alex Organ as Togusa.

Plot concept: In this highly anticipated prequel set in the year after the fourth World War, cyborg and hacker Motoko Kusanagi finds herself wrapped up in the investigation of a devastating bombing. But she’s not the only one looking for answers—as she delves deeper into the mystery of who is behind the attack, a specialized team unlike any before begins to take shape.
