‘Kenka Banchou Otome: Girl Beats Boys’ Short-Form Anime Reveals Heroine

kenka-banchou-visualThe anime adaptation of Kenka Banchou Otome: Girl Beats Boy has now updated with some welcome new information as we get closer to its spring season debut. The official site has now revealed that the series will premiere on April 12th, 2017 on Tokyo MX and other networks after that with a planned twelve episode run. It was also revealed that Hibiku Yamamura will play the main female character of Hinako Nakayama, bringing the final bit of main casting into focus.

The property will be adapting from the game as it uses the same characters and adds new ones with a planned ten-minute running time per episode.The series is being directed by Tokuaki Saitou based on the series composition by Natsuko Takahashi. Majiro is on board as the character designer with Project No. 9 and A-Real handling the animation.

The game cast that’s coming over for it includes:

  • KENN as Totomaru Minowa
  • Shouta Aoi as Takayuki Konparu
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Rintarou Kira
  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Yuuta Mirako
  • Tomoaki Maeno as Houou Onigashima
  • Tsubasa Yonaga as Hikaru Onigashima
  • Takashi Kondou as Haruo Sakaguchi

Love Desire will be handling both the opening and closing themes with “Love Sniper” and “Gankou Signal.”

Game concept: The original game is about an orphan named Hinako Nakayama who was picked up by a twin brother. She has to attend all-boys school full of yankees named Private Shishiku Gakuen for him. In this adaptation, the heroine can join the quarrel battle, which is different from most of the otome games.
