The love of food is always fun to watch as those that are into it have lots they like to dig into. Sara’s time at school with a truly well prepared meal is something that’s caught the eye of fellow student Maro that’s interested in her and he does his best to get her attention, though she doesn’t remember him from the restaurant at all. That’s frustrating to be sure and he puts the energy to good use at the restaurant, making for some cute bits until Sara arrives again. What she wants upon arriving there is the unexpected though as she wants Nanase to cook Italian food for her, something that she’s not exactly skilled at. The stress is fun and that she comes up with a simple meal makes sense since even the basics can be utterly delicious.

In Summary:
Nanase’s discovery of Italian cuisine and her start of producing it herself is definitely fun and the expansion here is nice as she wants to learn more based on the first reactions she gets from Sara. I felt for Maro during a lot of this as he’s just so sidelined in so many ways while being cutely earnest. Sara’s still not a favorite among the cast – that’s just the manager and her drunken ways for me – but she ticks certain boxes that a show like this needs and isn’t over the top so it’s at least workable.
