“Momohara Natsuki Gets Embarrassed and Plays Things Off”

As we get closer to Natsuki’s arc as it should finish out in the next episode, this one has her again doing her best to engage with her brother. The latest has her doing cleaning around the apartment, something she just gets in and does while we get bored. Cleaning can lead to bad discoveries, such as when she manage to get a close open and discovers our stash of nudie mags. Her reaction is as we expected and it’s amusing that it then transitions to use watching her taking a shower. Considering her age and “our” relationship to her the whole thing is the usual creepy thing that anime unfortunately does both far too often and far too well. That it goes will full on male gaze and her anger about her chest size, well, it’s just what I need to further dislike this particular arc of the series.
In Summary:
One Room continues to deliver some good animation and I like the interactive feature as it’s done better than some other shows like Anitore and the like as it feels like there’s more actual “story” to it here. But this arc just doesn’t work because of the sibling aspect and age differences that just made it creepy from the start. It gets points for the quality of the animation and that it does hit some good emotional moments, especially toward the end here, but not enough to really help it.
