Announced earlier this month, we learned about the anime adaptation of the manga by voice actor Sora Tokui with the Makeruna!! Aku no Gundan! property. With the first volume of the manga due out in March after being serialized in Monthly Bushiroad since 2014, the four-panel series is getting an anime adaptation as part of the spring 2017 season. The first teaser has now arrived and that’s brought some new information with it. The series has Takahiko Kyogoku directing and working the series composition while Sonoka Kuroiwa is handling the character designs. It’s being animated by Tatsunoko Production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Tessyo Genda as Don
- Kappei Yamaguchi as Pebu
- Akira Ishida as Chiku
- Yuiko Tatsumi as Neru
Plot concept: A group of aliens named “Aku no Gundan,” led by Don aims to conquest Earth. Once they arrived on Earth, their spaceship disappears. Haruta, an Earthling they met coincidentally, helps them get part-time jobs. Don and company take on the offer and continue to pursue their plan to invade Earth.
