P.A. Works revealed late last year their next original series with plans for Sakura Quest to premiere as part of the spring 2017 season in April. While we’ve got a bit to go until it lands, the official site has updated with a number of new cast additions that include:
- Atsushi Ono as Ushimatsu Kadota
- Maki Izawa as Chitose Oribe
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Takamizawa
- Hiro Shimono as Takashi Yamada
- Daiki Hamano as Mino
- Vinay Murthy as Mr. Sandal
- Nanako Mori as Angelica
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Erika Suzuki
The previously announced Japanese cast includes:
- Ayaka Nanase as Yoshino Koharu
- Reina Ueda as Shiori Shinomiya
- Chika Anzai as Maki Midorikawa
- Chiemi Tanaka as Ririko Oribe
- Mikako Komatsu as Sanae Kouzuki
The show is based on the original work by Alexandre S. D. Celibidache that’s being directed by Souichi Masui based on the series composition from Masahiro Yokotani. Kanami Sekiguchi is handling the character designs based on the original work by BUNBUN.
(K)NoW_NAME is on board for the song ‘Morning Glory” and with TOHO distributing it we’re going to see a lot of promotion for the project.
Plot concept: In the wake a nationwide movement during the Bubble economy period, a small town in the countryside has revived its “mini-nation” tourism program; hiring five girls as travel ambassadors. The series will follow a year’s time of the five girls as they work in the tourism agency of a small failing town in an effort to reinvigorate it.
