With the series hitting the halfway mark we get a bit of a reveal here as Mi is asked what he real name is and it turns out to by Minya. That, as the others say, doesn’t change their relationship to have it so casually revealed but it does show that there’s an odd dynamic between this group of weirdos. That piece becomes the only interesting part of the episode, however, as the rest of it focuses on Ai dealing with a kind of feudal era world where she’s been placed there to become an assassin some day. She’s paired up with another girl that she names Nana and the two have some deep conversations before being sent off on a mission to kill a particular President.
In Summary:
The show has worked odd angles along the way and placing the character into situations that don’t make any sense so it’s not a surprise to see here. The problem is that it’s just so uninteresting both in how it’s animated, how it’s told, and the minimal number of gags that it’s committing the cardinal sin of simply being boring. And even at three and a half minutes that’s just not good as it feels even more pronounced.
