‘Yojo Senki’ Anime Cast Expands With Staff Reveal

yojo-senki-visual-10-31We learned back in late September 2016 that Yojo Senki had gotten the nod for an anime adaptation that was recently set for a January 6th, 2017 premiere as part of the winter season. We also previously knew that Aoi Yuki is on board to play the main character and now more of the cast has been revealed with:

  • Saori Hayami as Visha
  • Shinichiro Miki as Relgen
  • Houchou Ootsuka as Seetour
  • Tessyo Genda as Ludeldorf

Additionally, the staffing side has been revealed with Yutaka Uemura on board to direct with Kana Harufuji as the assistant director working from the scripts by Kenta Ihara. Yuuji Hosogoshi is on board as the character designer and chief animation director with studio NUT productin the animation.

The show is based on the light novel series from writer Carlo Zen and artist Shinobu Shinotsuki that began in 2013 and has six volumes to its name so far. The title translates as The Military Chronicles of a Little Girl.

MYTH&ROID will be performing the opening theme song with “JINGO JUNGLE” as they noted that the CD single will drop on February 8th, 2017.

Plot concept: The novel series centers on a young girl who fights on the frontlines in war. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, and nearly transparent white skin, and she flies through the air and mercilessly strikes down her opponents. Her name is Tanya Degurechov, and she speaks with a young girl’s lisp and commands the army. Tanya used to be one of Japan’s elite office workers, but because of a wrathful god, was reborn as a little girl. Tanya prioritizes optimization and career advancement
