Crunchyroll Adds ‘Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On’ For Fall 2016 Anime Lineup

monster-hunter-stories-ride-on-crunchyroll-headerThe upcoming fall 2016 anime series Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On is almost here and now things have expanded with it thanks to the partnership between Funimation and Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll has announced that they’ll be streaming the series starting today at 11pm ET for members with it being made available to viewers in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Japanese cast includes Mutsumi Tamura as Ryuto, M.A.O a Naviloo, Minami Takahashi as Lilia, Ryota Osaka as Cheval, Yui Makino as Ayuria, Ayaka Asai as Mil, Michiyo Murase as Hyoro, Yuuma Uchida as Jinny, Itaru Yamamoto as Stone and Takanori Ooyama as Nol.

The series is based on the game “Monster Hunter Stories” from Capcom, which is being released in October in Japan, and the popular action RPG game series “Monster Hunter.”

Funimation previously secured international rights to home entertainment, video on demand and broadcast distribution of the title as part of its agreement with Fuji TV.

The series, when discussed last December in Japan, was announced for a four-cour run. The show is being produced at David Production with Mitsuru Hongo on board to direct based on the scripts and oversight from Natsuko Takahashi. Takuya Sato is on to design the characters for the adaptation.

Plot concept: Monster Hunter, an exciting new anime comes from the creative minds behind Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. In a world where people and monsters are at odds, some learn to coexist. Known as Riders, they awaken the powers of monsters and live alongside them in secrecy. Now, one young boy journeys to find his own companion and become the world’s greatest Rider.
