Funimation’s got a lot in the mix with a number of different configurations for their release of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya that’s came out this past week on September 13th, 2016. There’s a good breakdown of them further down below the video to check out so you can try and figure out which edition is best for you.

Working the promotional for this release, they’ve now brought out a new dub clip that runs with the whole light music club thing in a big way with an ENOZ performance for the ages. It’s a bit slow to get underway but once it shifts into gear, which is easily done since this is about four minutes long, it works pretty well. I definitely miss the days of insert songs – and opening/closing songs – being dubbed!

At Kyon’s accidental suggestion, she decides to create her own club dedicated to finding and observing life’s oddities like the aliens, espers, and time travelers she believes walk among normal people. Now, Kyon and a ragtag group of recruits are Haruhi’s right-hand men in the newly formed SOS Brigade. But all is not what it seems. The quiet bookworm? Alien. The busty sophomore? Time-traveler. Maybe Kyon should have joined the literature club
