Bandai Visual has started to set the plans for the Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2202 series as the seven volume run has now had its first volume formally scheduled. The release is coming with a Bandai Club LE exclusive priced at 9,259 – which it looks like they can get early on February 25th, 2017, while the retail edition is coming in a Blu-ray form priced at 7,800 yen and a DVD form priced at 6,800 yen, both of which arrive on March 24th, 2017.
Unlike the first series, which never had a complete North American release, these editions do not include English subtitles.
Property concept: Yamato 2202 continues the story of Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199, which is a remake of the 1974 TV anime. The new series recreates the 1978 sequel series and adopts the subtitle of the 1978 movie in the franchise.
