Madman Schedules ‘Death Note’ Blu-ray Anime Release

Death NoteNot intending to be left out as Viz Media has released the Death Note series on Blu-ray in the US, Manga Entertainment UK has it set for Halloween in their territory, and even Japan is getting a new release of it, Madman Entertainment has scheduled their Blu-ray collection for the show. At the moment details are a bit slim but it looks like they’re getting the 37-episode TV series is one Blu-ray collection and that’s it as there’s no mention of the Re-Light features being included. Priced at $99.95 AUD, the set is scheduled for a December 7th, 2016 release in bilingual form across six Blu-ray discs in the collection. A complete DVD collection was released back at the end of 2009 by the distributor.

Plot concept: Light Yagami is a genius high school student who is about to learn about life through a book of death. When a bored shinigami, God of Death, named Ryuk drops a black notepad called a Death Note, Light receives power over life and death with the stroke of a pen. Determined to use this dark gift for the best, Light sets out to rid the world of evil… namely the people he believes to be evil.

Should anyone hold such power?

The consequences of Light’s actions will set the world ablaze.
