Manga series from Ichijinsha tend to be pretty amusing in a lot of ways and they’re also properties to keep an eye on as they tend to get made into short-form anime series. We talked about the first volume of the web manga Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii from Hiro Fujita last year when they debuted some TV spots for it to get people interested in it as the work moved from the web site to the print side. The property looks to be doing well as they now have a new ten minute promo out that highlights the upcoming third volume this winter that will come with a drama CD for it., which is another sign to watch for a potential anime adaptation in the wings.
The promo works to showcase a good bit of the artwork and just the silliness of it all and is a good way to get a taste of what’s coming.
The voice cast for the drama CD will include Ito Takehito, Sawashiro Miyuki, Tomokazu Sugita) and Yuki Kaji.
Plot concept: After discovering that they work at the same company a gaming crazed otaku and a fujoshi meet each other for the first time since middle school. After some post-work drinking session they begin dating, but will it be a perfect relationship for the two?
