Announced earlier this summer, the anime series for the girl band project BanG Dream was announced as in production for a 2017 debut. With a single out earlier this year and a second one in August, this will certainly raise their profile a good bit. To get people interested in it as part of Comiket 90, a new two and a half minute promo has now been released with a heavy focus on music, naturally. The project is being directed by Atsushi Ootsuki based on the series composition from Yuniko Ayana. Natsuko Nita is adapting the original character designs done by Hitowa. Issen and Xebec are on board to handle the animation production.
The cast includes:
- Aimi (Aimi Terakawa) as Kasumi Toyama
- Ayasa Itou as Arisa Ichigaya
- Rimi Nishimoto as Rimi Ushigome
- Sae Oozuka as Tae Hanazono
- Ayaka Ohashi as Saaya Yamabuki
Plot concept: Kasumi Toyama felt a fateful meeting with a star-shaped guitar in a pawnshop one day. There are four girls who, like Kasumi, have a dream of looking for a place that can spark them.
