The upcoming summer anime series Cheer Danshi!! is expanding once again as a few more details have arrived for it. With a new key visual that you can see below, they also revealed that the series will premiere on July 5th, 2016 on Tokyo MX. The opening theme is “Hajime no Ippo” from Luck Life while the ending theme is made up of the group BREAKERS with the song “LIMIT BREAKERS”.
The work comes from the novel of the same name by Ryou Asai which had a manga adaptation by Ayaka Matsumoto, resulting in four volumes worth of material. The animation adaptation is being directed by Ai Yoshimura based on the series composition from Reiko Yoshida. Hiroyuki Asada is on board with the original character designs while Hitomi Tsuruta is serving as the character designer and chief animation director for Brain’s Base.

- Yoshitaka Yamaya as Kaoru Hanasaki

- Tomokazu Sugita as Wataru Mizoguchi
- Yuu Hayashi as Kouji Toono

- Kazuyuki Konishi as Gen Hasegawa
The previously announced cast includes Yuki Yonai as Haruka Bandou, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kazuma Hashimoto and Yuuki Ono as Shou Tokugawa.
Plot concept: The show revolves around the “slightly odd and cute” members of a cheerleading squad at a men’s university.
