Anime Exodus on Hulu Begins Next Week

17 min read

Hulu LogoThere’s quite the purge coming to Hulu as on June 1st, 2016, a whole lot of anime are expiring according to the list that data miner WTK has put together.  While we haven’t seen a list this big come together in some time, we have seen regular cycling out of a good bit of material over the years in natural waves as agreements and contracts end. We saw a good bit of this toward the end of 2015 though noted that quite a few of them came back over the next couple of months in early 2016. And we’ve had a number of recent titles from Funimation making their way back on the service as well. So if you’re in the midst of any of these shows, take advantage of the short window of notice and dig into what’s going away – especially since some are hard to find elsewhere for streaming and/or for home video releases.

  1. I heard about this yesterday via the Anime News Network Answerman article. I began checking series I have on my to-watch-list and saw many with the “[!] Expires in 5 days” message — HOWEVER, today that notice has disappeared from certain series since yesterday. What’s going on?! It’s beginning to seem that confusion is starting to reign in regard to exactly WHICH series are being pulled from Hulu. Does anyone out there have an updated/accurate master list to the series being pulled? Very confusing situation right now. Thanks!
