The announcement last September that the Monster Hunter Stories game was getting an anime adaptation wasn’t much of a surprise as the property has a lot of material out there and a lot of younger fans that can be tapped into. That’s reinforced by the fact that Fuji TV is bringing it out this fall on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am where they haven’t run an anime show for about ten years. Fuji TV brought out a new promo for it with the project and what’s involved, which included the first bit of casting with:
- Mutsumi Tamura as Ryuto
- M.A.O a Naviloo
The series is bring produced at David Production with Mitsuru Hongo on board to direct based on the scripts and oversight from Natsuko Takahashi. Takuya Sato is on to design the characters for the adaptation.
A previous listing has surfaced via the Anime Japan 2016 page that the series is being scheduled for forty-eight episodes total for its run.
