Crunchyroll Adds ‘Ah My Buddha!!’ Anime Streaming

2 min read

Ah My Buddha CrunchyrollCrunchyroll has one more series on deck that they’ve sublicensed streaming rights for from Nozomi Entertainment with Ah My Buddha!! now on the service. The full series is now available for premium members while free members get the first thirteen episodes now and the second half next week. Not surprisingly, the show is available for viewers in the US and Canada only where Nozomi holds the rights to it. On the plus side, it’s available in both dubbed and subbed form.

The show was originally broadcast in Japan in 2005 and 2006 and was released by Media Blasters in 2009 before going for a full collection in 2010, which is the last it was out. The series came from them at a time when they were producing fewer dubs but this one managed to get one, to good effect at that. The series was originally named Amaenaide yo!! in Japan.

The series features animation by Studio DEEN (Fate/Stay night, Is This a Zombie?) and direction by Keitaro Motonaga (Jormungand, Yumeria).

Check out our review of the series here.

Plot concept: Sixteen-year-old Ikkou Satonaka has raging hormones that make every other boy’s look simply weak in comparison. When he gets turned on, he’s literally turned into a super-powerful Buddhist monk capable of vanquishing the most evil of spirits! Ikkou’s parents send him to the Saienji Temple to train to become a proper monk under the watchful eye of his grandmother. One of his first challenges is to learn to control his lusty desires – but that’s easier said than done when he’s surrounded by a bevy of beautiful nun trainees who keep losing their clothes! Can Ikkou pull himself together, or will his pervy nature win out?
