2 min read

Cross Ange Collection 1 HeaderSentai Filmworks recently revealed the finalized cover artwork for the first collection of Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons and we learned with that reveal that Chris Ayres is sitting in the ADR directors seat for the series. Set to arrive on June 21st, 2016, the second bit of casting news has now arrived with a new promotional spot that showcases Carli Mosier performing as Hilda from the series. The character was originally played by Yukari Tamura in the Japanese version. Carli’s been a staple within the anime dubbing realm since 2000 and has had a huge slate of roles over the years that’s kept her in our ears.

The series was directed by Yoshiharu Ashino with Tatsuto Higuchi handling the scripts. Yuusuke Matsuo came up with the character concepts while Sayaka Ono has handled the action design. Sunrise is, of course, the animation production side of this series.

The English language adaptation is directed by Christopher Ayres and stars Brittney Karbowski as Vivian with a lot more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Plot concept: Leveraging the advancement in technology – called “Mana”, humanity has been able to eliminate all wars, starvation, pollution, and other problems on Earth by using its power. Earth has become a peaceful utopia free of material needs.

CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon focuses on the first princess of the Empire of Misurugi, Angelise. She is the celebrated ruler of the Empire until one day she finds out the shocking truth that she is a “Norma” – an irregular being who cannot use “Mana”, and are treated as “things” rather than people. Having her name taken from her, Ange isolates herself on a remote island. There, she finds a group of Norma women who spend their days hunting dragons that have come to invade.
